Exploring Asia: Where to Take Your Family on a Vacation

Happy Tourists

There’s nothing quite like a vacation abroad. But when you enter the age where you have kids, the idea becomes a little less exciting and a lot more challenging. After all, not every country on the map is a great place for you and your young ones. So, to help you decide on where to take your family next, here are three great family-friendly spots to consider in Asia.

Singapore is arguably the best family-friendly destination in Asia. It just works no matter how you put it. Regardless of the kids’ age, there’s a fun activity you can all take part in. You can get tickets to Wings of Time in Sentosa, try out lots of street food, or even just stay at your hotel. The culture is interesting and diverse, plus the public transport system is easy to follow and English is a widely spoken language there. Great food, great attractions, and great accessibility for couples with a kid (or kids) in tow—it’s the complete package!

What makes Japan interesting is that visiting it is a different experience depending on the season. The landscapes are beautiful, the trains (and pretty much everything else) are efficient, and the heritage is admirable. The locals are very helpful, too. It also has several amusement parks where your kids can have a great time, from the Universal Studios, Tokyo DisneySea, and Tokyo Disneyland. No kid in the world wouldn’t get excited over that.

Hong Kong

Like Singapore, Hong Kong is also an area where there are a lot of English speakers. But perhaps its biggest draw is the fact that you can shop until you drop in HK. The street food is something to try, especially the variety of noodle dishes you can try there. Also, if you’re not quite feeling adventurous, you can always go for the more popular fast food chains peppered throughout the place.
